Just acquired a second hand boat which comes with a Mariner 4hp outboard. As there are no manuals or instruction books with it can anyone point me in direction where I might be able to obtain one. Also can anyone tell me what the correct fuel/oil ratio should be?

I used to have a Mariner 4HP & the mix was 50:1. The same model Yamaha was 100:1. This was one of the older 4M models. Mine was around 20 years old.

Not unless it is a very new engine. Older engines run on 50/1 and 50/1 will not harm a newer engine anyway. 100/1 only serves to reduce emissions. Only reduce from 50/1 if you have problems with plugs oiling up.
