I've just bought a s/h one.
Can anyone point me to any manuals, pdf's would be great.

Ive got the Tohatsu equivalent and its dead easy. You pour petrol/oil mix in the top bit, pull the string at the front, make the little lever go forward and spin the whole lot round through 360degrees as much as you like.

The one key thing is to keep the sparky thing clean, and if it has been left for a while, clean out the float chamber on the carbretta.

Let me know if I can be of any more assistance.

Thanks one and all.

Yes please Nick, at higher revs the engine misses (coughs) is there an over rev governor device?
I've checked the plug, cleaned out the float bowl and blown through the fuel line and jet.
I will pop it over to you sometime next week for you to sort it out, many thanks for your kind offer.

Original Mercury and Mariner outboard owners manuals are all available from the "download center" on Brunswick Marine's website.

( Not always easy to find the right one but it's there somewhere ... dont specify a year if having difficulty)

Year identifier also on the same site

Thanks Vic, that link worked well, I could select the manuals section and I downloaded 10100z80.pdf
PS found 10100z90.pdf which is a better copy
