They are still listing the Navman Fuel 2100 as available to buy and yet I'm reliably informed by a friend that they are no longer available (he's been trying to source one). How is this legal to take a punters money for something no longer available - out of stock is bad enough! You'll probably find they'll hold your cash for 6 months whilst you pursue and then eventually refund. Perhaps they're the same folk behind these payday loans and they lend out your cash at 2500% APR...?:D

I find it amazing that anyone even slightly familiar with these forums would ever consider now buying from Marine Megastore.

If the price of something is quoted at an exceptionally low level then it's usually too good to be true. As a general rule we get what we pay for. Very cheap = very rubbish quality of goods or services.

They're an utterly useless bunch.

Try 02380 453 821 and 01670 516 151 repeateadly and you may manage to get an answer.

When even that failed for me, I resorted to visiting their office on the Hamble in person, which got results pretty quickly.

I wonder how they stay in business as I can't imagine anyone ever uses them more than once and there are only so many new customers to be had.

Always wary of sites that can't be arsed to keep their website reasonably up to date:

524 Page Catalogues for 2009/10 are now available

Our 900 Page catalogues are available for 2009/10 can be obtained by either placing an order with us......

Dylan, brilliant, that is very funny.

And going to be effective I reckon!

If I were a megaclueless employee, I'd be looking very hard for a job down the road with one of the good un outfits, jeeez, giving roadside car dealers a good name!

How do we report Marine Megastore to trading standards?

Too many people have had troubles with Marine Megastore. Myself included.

so will put one set on one side of the boat up high and the other set on the other side of the boat down low for the seagull

twice the work, twice the holes, but its just the slug

what amazes me about the live chat with the Megastore is that they took my money, no check to see if the things were in store, never told me, left me waiting, then asked me if I had checked to see if they were in their store.

Pretty amazing business plan. Gives everyone who works on-line a bad name. I had read the threads on megastore on here... but thought that they can't always be wrong

I assumed they never were. There are plenty of companies that don't keep any stock of anything, and order it from their suppliers in response to each customer order. It's not necessarily a bad way to run a business provided you have quick service from your supplier and are honest about expected delivery times. MMS clearly fail in both of these.
