Trip up to Totnes, on the tide, is worth doing. Alongside berth outside the pub on the port side - opposite the ferry/trip boat quay.
Also a couple of peaceful vis.buoys just before entrance to Stoke Gabriel creek. Nice little village - at least 3 pubs!!
I also second/third Dittisham. Beware current if rowing ashore on Spring Ebbs. We've caused great amusement to pub clients as we went round in circles in a large eddy, making very little headway towards our first pint. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Been there many times - Dartmouth and Dittisham both excellent. Usually use Town Quays (North and South) or their Deep Water Pontoons opposite.

Some useful info (VHF from memory only!):

Water taxi - VHF CH 69 (Excellent service about £1.50 per person per drop - buy a ticket its cheaper!)

Dartmouth Harbour Authority - VHF CH 11

For any urgent enquiries phone: 07920425452

... or apply the proven waiting list reduction strategy, which involves turning up in your boat in the autumn when they have berths free, and paying visitors rates which they weren't expecting to get over the winter. Get friendly with the marina staff, and spend some money with their workshop getting your engines serviced, then come spring the waiting list will have evaporated. It's never failed for me, and I know of at least one person that got a Darthaven berth by doing the same.

Yup, that works. I pitched up in Club de Mar, Palma in October 2004 for a week's stay and I'm still there nearly 4 1/2 yrs later /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Pay your bills on time, be nice to the office staff and don't give them a reason to chuck you out
