Just had my Premier renewal. I was expecting them to keep to inflation - no, havent done the numbers but looks a lot more than last year. Fund for one more year and then find something a little warmer and cheaper.

We're moving at Easter from Gosport Premier to Shamrock Quay (MDL) primarily because of price but also because of Clipper moving in.
I foresee a number of issues with Clipper moving in, some of which may be non-issues. However, an unforeseen consequence of Clipper moving in has been the escalation in Starling droppings at our end of the marina.
Big Clipper boats means less masts/rigging at the far end of the marina so less rigging for the Starlings to perch on. Consequently they've moved up our end as shown by the evidence each weekend left on deck.

Depending on how often you sail & how far you live from your berth it might work out cheaper
to find a berth across the channel.

Good move Believe me you would not want to be in any marina where Clipper berth. Nothing wrong with the boats, its just
the clientele they attract.

Can you elucidate, discreetly?
Have visitor berthed in Royal Clarence and Gosport with the fleet there, but in depths of wintertime usually.
Are we talking similarities with the high season crews of a certain bluenosed, no AIS off button, charter fleet based to the NE?

190:12 Euro for a 12 M boat. Just over a fiver a day. Annual berthing even cheaper.
How does that compare to rip-off UK marinas

Loads of destinations in France look attractive if you can get there from home quickly and cheaply. But ferries to Brittany seem to be a lot more expensive than they were 10 years ago.

+2, I'm another customer leaving Premier Gosport, fed up with year-on-year price increases and lack of depth (despite their dredging operations). Shame, as they are generally nice people to deal with.

A friend has renewed his berth but negotiated. Basically said 'I will pay this amount if you cant accept that offer, then I will be leaving on such n such a date'

Another one moving from Gosport premier..... what with the clippers. 4 showers that need updating etc...... car park barrier that has never recognised my car having to pay for electricity.....

Just renewed with Premier Brighton, this will be the 4th year & I've paid exactly the same each time, in advance & for the whole year, so with max discount. I did once ask for a quote for 2 years but it wasn't worth it for what I'd have saved...

After 11 years in Premier Southsea, we left Annual berthing last year intending to go S Brittany but with the poor weather only ended up leaving boat in Brest as a base. As said previously the problem is where to leave boat with good air/sea connections back to UK. We came back to Premier for winter berthing. Overall last year all in inc. air fares we saved over £1000 and had a bit of an adventure. We are going to S Brittany again this year with lessons learned. After talking to marina office got the impression if we wanted annual berthing they would do a deal.

Don't quite know what's happening at Premier. My dry-berthing charges for the up-coming period from June have gone down by nearly 20% from last year!

I confirm Premiere are litterally taking the piss, I cannot believe they rise prices above inflation every year! Also the service quality has gone down significantly in the last year.
