Macerator cherry stone menace.

By God I wish I'd known about the date stones when I was in the Cadets! The scores that could have been settled. Would have been open season on the Chief Petty Officer

If you are prepared not to macerate (and you are not macerating the cherry stones and other contents through the vac), then I can recommend the Henderson type diaphragm pump. All our toilet waste goes through the tank and is emptied by using a henderson pump to start the syphon going (ours is a cat too, and the tank is above the water line with the outlet pipe running from one inch above the tank bottom, through the top of the tank and then down to the pump). Never the slightest blockage problem whatever has gone into the tank., and using the syphon approach means that there is no valve work in line other than the seacock which is permanently open.

A final alternative solution might be to take the culprit out for a good hot curry and a few tinnies on the night before leaving harbour.

I'd make it two nights ahead with a laxative-laced dessert! :)

(Sorry...but sometimes maintaining a "professional" demeanor is just more than I can manage!)

Hi.....now if a Henderson bilge pump shifts unmacerated holding tank effluent, then that could really be another good option. I have two on board as primary bilge pumps, and to my knowledge they've never been used...the little Rules do the job adequately with less hassle.
Snow leopard in his comment above uses a manual pump to empty two 200 litre holding tanks on his cat (more useful than pumping iron, and probably just as effective) and these are Y-valved to double up as bilge pumps. I hope there's no room for a false manouevre there.
I do have a Y-valve on my set up, allowing direct overboard or holding tank discharge. We just didn't know what was in store, as it were.
In fact the wet and dry vac had a very good macerating effect on the effluent , which one would expect since it was accelerated from zero to about mach 1.5 through a crinkly pipe. Even the cherry stones themselves appeared highly polished, suggesting an eventual new art form.
Seriously, people, thank you so much for your useful comments, understanding, and humour.
Talk to you again soon.
Cheers....R
