Has anybody got any info/ideas on a good place to stop in Lyon over night, would like to be near centre but also go into town without feeling paranoid about the boat.

There's an ok marina just before the confluence of Saone and Rhone, with a tram stop at the end of the harbour that takes you to the centre.

There are bars and restaurants nearby and a Lidl supermarket. Also near a tram stop with direct routes through to Lyon-Part-Dieu mainline railway station and with a tram route from there direct to Lyon Saint-Exupéry airport (BA, Easyjet). . . "
