Would be great to see her again, used to see her at the quay in the mid seventies, when I joined the oilfield in Great Yarmouth. Tied up outside her a few times waiting for the Haven Bridge.

She was steamed up and ready to go ...

Hi folks,

Lydia Eva was all steamed up and ready but was defeated solely by the weather. We all respect the skippers decision although none of us liked it.

Some of the volunteers had been aboard for most of the preceding 48 hours bringing her gently up to temperature and pressure.

For news and updates please refer to Lydia Eva's website

Please wish us better luck with the weather over the coming weeks.

Hi oldfrank,

I have a coupe of shots of her steaming up against the ebb with no smoke coming out of her funnel! She was a quiet and good mannered lady as she slowly eased towards her traditional berth, until her skipper let everyone in Great Yarmouth know she had arrived by sounding her steam whistle.

Hopefully someone has that whistle on video: It's a superb sound.
