I guess I've got to that age. We recently spent 3 weeks on the Heritage Adventurer travelling around Papua New Guinea, the Soloman Islands and Vanuatu.

It was an amazing experience with great weather (so calm) and excellent food and frequent (twice daily) trips off ship on zodiacs (the ship had 10 of them) to visit local villages to see their culture and crafts etc. Also, we did some bird watching with some people who were very serious birders :D The ship was basically a very comfortable taxi, hotel and restaurant for our trip.

You might like Variety cruises. We went on Pegasos in the Seyschelles and a smilar cruise, lots of small islands, giant tortoises, birding and trips on shore via ribs. Full throttle shore landing on one island! Chef visited the lcal market each day for fresh fish.
