Visited today by car, small historical fishing harbour now still a fishing port but has its dose of tourists, newish outer breakwater, looks like space in the inner harbour,I imagine a settled weather entrance
By road it’s about two hours, one of various little harbours set in a cleft in the coastline……if the Beneteau Baradour had been a possibiit would have been fun to keep the boat there for a while, certainly an iron bound coast, the nearest easy harbour to enter would be Ribadeo to the west…..or Gijon to the east…..as it was the boat even from a distance looked a wreakIt looks like a wonderful place to visit!
How far away from you is it?
When you finally get your boat, are you considering keeping her in Luarca?
Concorde taking off being around 'half a luarca'.
We were on a bit of a sailing cruise with friends and our ongoing competition was to find.....and drink......the cheapest wine we could get. A place in Luarca won. I forget the price but not the taste!Good grief, the Luarca disco playing must have really be deafening, if Concorde is only 0.5 luarcas on the Db scale!

My memory is of having my worst ever black pudding (morcilla) served as a sort of watery stew in a plastic tent on the quay. The good news was Mrs Q used her Spanish guile to blag us a free night on the fuel pontoon in the inner harbour rather than rolling all night on a buoy behind the monolithic outer wall.We were on a bit of a sailing cruise with friends and our ongoing competition was to find.....and drink......the cheapest wine we could get.
