Well I reckon it all went smoothly because they've probably done similar many times before. Of course in our H&S culture no-one would get near that situation to realise that it is possible.

Their sea temperature is probably 10 degrees warmer than ours. Little chance of hypothermia if they fall in.

I traveled on a ferry from Pireas to Samos which made four stops along the way - all in a force 10!!

These guys deserve the admiration of all yet they treat it like an everyday occurance. They provide a lifeline to many islands, the ferry I was on carried 4 people on stretchers being taken to hospital.
