London Boat Show, or Not

You'd be mad to buy chandlery stuff at LIBS as the prices are jacked up to pay for the stand costs. Don't know about anybody else but I go to boatshows to look at boats to get ideas for what I might like to buy in the future when they come on the secondhand market so its a bit disappointing when there are only 4 or 5 manufacturers there showing boats I want to see

I don't necessarily buy the chandlery items - just go to research - we have a shortage of good chandleries near us and I like to see things up close before I purchase.

We only look at boats when we are intending to buy one - looked at Southampton last year and signed on the dotted line. Have to admit that we did look at the SO44DS at LIBS - that will be our next upgrade, but not for a couple of years unfortunately...

Well, for myself, over the past 10 years I can honestly say that for every pair of deck shoes I have bought, I have also bought a brand new boat... but then again, I do wear trainers a lot.

We visited the various chandleries at LIBS armed with the best prices the internet could offer and ended up getting between 5% - 10% off most prices.

Having visited it a few times already it is really worth a visit. Dont' miss it - you could regret it, there is lots to see. The best offer on the 2012 Reeds is at the Imray stand....
