Ace, several of us will be there Friday afternoon too, maybe late-ish from 3pm onwards. Me, Jimmy le builder and EME, for starters. So we can catch up either day and I'm sure the Barkes will be happy to intropduce us. Whitelighter, I am there on Thursday for an 11am meeting so might see you after that

You wouldn't be having a meeting about spec'ing another boat would you?

No silly me of course you wouldn't.... not without telling us all beforehand;)

Slight Fred drift but if I am honest I had thoughts I should not share on here about this years show. But after three days there and a good mooch around its looking quite good. There will be plenty there for all and that's without the other shows.

Use it or loose it !

Excellent.
I'll be dragging 'er indoors around on Saturday.

Question - Lots of purchasing planned. What's the best way to deal with the goods? Especially as some planned items will not be small?

Excellent, I received my VIP Fairline invitation and I am around Friday and Saturday so hopefully "haphazardly" I will bump into everyone..... Look forward to it ......:)

Ace, I'd particularly like to say hello given that your old generator is now doing sterling service in my T40. I'm also v interested to hear about your latest customisation plans for yours. I'm 50/50 for the Friday afternoon, but 100% for the Saturday. Look forward to meeting you there.

Cheers
Jimmy

Quite a few Fairiline-eys have already haphazardly arranged to meet up on the first saturday so ask the Barke brothers to point out the renegades upstairs in Fairline's bar area and we'll join you for a beer. Still haphazardly, we will probably manage to meet up with the princess-eys aka Hurricane, mjf, DJE (DJE's got a Fairline, but i did say this was haphazard)

Yes, what we need is someone who bats for both teams, as it were .... :D

Cheers
Jimmy

forumite input on the new 28M by Saturday......

I love that boat MYAG. Seems to be the first in a new breed of much better looking Y series boats. With the exception of your Y80, some of the Ys have been pretty ugly, but the 28 is stunning. Better still, they just hired Mike Murie to be on the team who customise it. He ran all the custom work on my s78 and is a top top bloke. I've yet to find a question to which he would reply "No sorry we can't do that; too hard". Order the 28 and ask that Mike makes it for you, and you wont be disappointed.

Trouble is JFM, where do you go from there, wait for the 85? or change brands? sounds like a conversation for the bar.........
Yup it's a bar conversation. I'm there Fri pm and all day Sat - text if you're around 07768 ###### (I'll delete that in 20mins or so)

Geez, I started reading this thread and it was the usual yak, yak, yak, fings ain't wot they used to be sort of carp and then I got to the bit where a bunch of guys looked set to have a few beers and talk nonsense whilst looking at boats...

Party on!

Might just have to go there after all. :D
