Has any one any ideas on parking at the boat show and if there really are bargains in clothing and radar etc. to be had. All info welcome please

there,s a post on scuttlebutt at the moment re parking, as for bargains depends on brands and how good the swindlers are doing

I have bought VHF and other electronics at the show usually from the dealers on the company stands.Most will offer to sell at a price which does not include VAT.Yes I know VAT is still payable -- so let's say 17.5% discount.Get the quotes and compare the prices and availabilty.Heavily discounted products may often be the end of range and a new product will be launched in the near future but they could still be good value.

That, to me, is the key. Loads of new stuff is launched at LIBS and if you have done some research there are big savings to be had on perfectly good kit which is tried and tested.

The Guiness stand for example, the product is not end of sstock or out of line, not necesarily a bargain. But all forumites should stock up whilst supplies are plentiful.

Guiness is good but whenever I drink at the boatshow I spend the whole trip home (Rail) desperately looking for toilets !!!
