For some, the words “London Boat Show” fill you with the same level of excitement as Noddy Holders car dealer on the 1st Jan…..

For others its like hearing said artists record for the first time in early Nov….

Either way its here and its on from the 7th – 16th January 2010 at London ExCel.

And now for the hard sell….

Once more we will be there in force and here are just a few things we will be doing.

Visit stand A59 (by N9) where you will be able to pick up the latest issue of your favourite boating magazine. You can’t miss it as we have some rather fancy (and expensive) Chinese lanterns displaying each magazines logo so look to the sky...

Take advantage of our special show subscription offer to ensure you receive your favourite magazine each month or why not sign up for another?

Whilst there why not sign up for the twice weekly ybw.com email news letter featuring all the latest news, competitions, boats for sale and much much more.

And finally the BIG COMPETITION!

Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Apple iPad at Southampton we have decided to do it once more!

Visit the stand (A59) fill in the form and pop it in the box for your chance to win an iPad 3G complete with Navionics app, what could be simpler!

And there’s more….

Black and White Bar in association with ybw.com

Its back and it serves more than just the black stuff so makes sure you make time for at least one pint and help yourself to some very fancy ybw.com beer mats…..a must for any cockpit….. North Hall, western end.

Cruising Chute

Come along to the Cruising Chute feature which is in the western end of the South Hall where John Goode will be demonstrating how get the most out of your cruising chute. This is a live demonstration using a full rig and sails and having seen it, its not one to miss.

And finally there will be members of the editorial team from all titles there throughout the week if you want any advice or simply want to say hello, then head for stand A59 (N9).

In addition I will be there with my team (mostly boaters, power and sail) should there not be a specific member of editorial on the stand when you pass.

Naturally all forum members (friend or foe) are welcome; if you are planning to turn up on mass please advise me before hand!

And lastly be sure to check out our micro site for information on how to get to the show, ticket prices / deals and everything else you need to make it a day out to remember.

See you there….

Richard

We are

and I thought that it was just me that couldn't find a downloadable floor plan of the 2011 London Boat Show!

Using the 'search' function on the YM web site produces plans of the 2006 and 2007 shows, which are interesting but........

Any information gratefully received. It doesn't seem to be on the LBS own web site.

working on it

Map

hope you can produce one

I couldn't find one in any ipc mag' this year ???

Ok, we are doing what we can to upload a map / plan that will be worthwhile downloading.

We are supplied a plan by National Boat Shows which is not too far removed from the one on their site. It is very generic and requires a lot of work for us to use it in the magazine, ie stand numbers etc BUT more importantly we go to print so early that a lot of the info (ok some) will be wrong due to changes etc. So in the past few years we have not put a detailed plan in the magazine and the days of having a fold out one on the front are long gone I am afraid.

That aside we are uploading a PBO map tomorrow (hopefully) that you will be able to down load, it will also have stand numbers on it I have been told.

We can only do so much with what we are given by the organisers and I hope the one we upload (i have not seen it yet) will give you the info you require.

Please don't ask me why NBS dont produce a map you can download! thats one for them when you get to the show....

Cheers

The RYA code listed in another thread (can't see it now) worked 2 days ago for me - L71 from memory... or it may be on the RYA website...

They would prefer for their visitors to plan their day in advance...maybe their hands are tied...who knows...

Hi Richard, is that NO! then?

Seems to me that for someone travelling long distances with a big research/shopping list and having big expenses for the day, that the organisers are going out of their way to make it very difficult them.
Possibly the organisers are too remote to understand the difficulties of 'Fred Bloggs' but just interested in the likes that afford new boats in the £250K+++ region

We do have the PBO
