Lidl special buy soldering iron

I've just been Lidl and bought a gas powered soldering iron for 15 quid. I've been after one for ages as my 12v iron isn't up to much.

I was about to say the same thing, it is much better than my Iroda otherwise.

Must admit that I use mine mostly with the hot knife attachment for cutting and sealing ropes. Can deal with a diameter close to twice the blade length as you rotate it slowly through the rope.

My useful tip seems to be treated with derision/levity. I'm very pleased with my purchase but am looking out for a knife blade attachment. Incidentally, I found it didn't have gas in it as bought.

I bought one last time they were offered. Now I am actually able to solder, which was previously very hit-and-miss, with the electric type
for sealing rope ends, why not use its blow-torch function to heat an old pen-knife or table knife?

Ignore the eejits. Mine has yet to be used for what it was designed for but has brûlée mon creme, seared mon steak and much more.

I don't see any derision. What's wrong with levity anyway?
