Do you think the food and drinks outlets make most money ,we loved the prestige 45 pound for pound also liked the st 44 what did you love

I find the food and drink outlets no different to any other fast food outlet in London. In fact the are considerably better in terms of quality. You can pretty much get anything if you walk the length of the hall.

I spent 47 quid in five guys yesterday feeding three adults and a small. That's London.

I say hats off to the organisers and all those involved in putting on the show, it has been a tough time for boat sales in 2015 and the fact that we still have a decent London show show is a good thing, hopefully as boat sales rise then the show will grow along with that growth curve,

I bought the North Sea Pilot

I enjoyed the Princess party.

Might have found someone to buy some ocean air blinds from - at least they gave me a rough price.
Looked on the Bavaria 360 - aft cabin looks like Doan's
Went on the prestige 680 - liked it.

Bought a pulled chicken sandwich.

Thought it was a great show. Loved the Prinny 75, and serious respect for the Sunny 131. Less than impressed with the Sealines, Jeanneau's etc. Whatever you think of the fit and finish, I am a serial disapproved of sharp corners on boats. Bad idea when bobbing around on the briny. Didn't need to buy food/drink so can't comment on this.
Bought some Wessex 2 pack for my teak.
Sunseeker had taken orders for £14 mil by Thursdsay. I guess planned intake would be about £20 mil, with the stand costing about £1 mil, although much of this cost is covered by the dealers.

My first LIBS... so I can't compare to previous years; but I thought it was  :encouragement: We walked the entire hall and checked out lots of stuff; especially in the 34 - 40ft range.

I bought an Excel SL260 + Suzuki 4 HP at what I thought was a fabulous deal.

We LOVED the Sealine C330 - I can seem us trading up to a used on of those in 5 years time.

I've been impressed by the advocacy of Broom owners so took the opportunity to look at the Broom stand. Once I got aboard the Broom 395 - I got it; though the changes in levels and price tag mean it is not for me.

Princess hospitality was excellent, the 75 will proved to be very popular with 7 already ordered.

Catering wise very happy to have found the bridge Restaurant / Grill. Sat down in a civilised environment and enjoyed lunch without wasting any time.

There were enough people there if you were looking for a particular service, I think our flybridge flooring might be changing colour in the not too distant future !

Henry :)

Henry, you are a tease. You can't leave it there :)

My favourite was the Pearl 75, thought it was nicer than the Princess 75, swmbo wanted the Prestige 45, I spent first 3 days there, went Friday and back today with swmbo who I think wanted to see where I keep disappearing to.
Best place I found for sandwich was the raised area in corner pool, was plenty of activity to keep you amused while having a break.

Be patient, I've shown you the new boat covers, what more do you want :)

I suspect we will be looking to fake teak it. Some seemingly amazing products out there. I could not tell the difference to the point where one chap had to lift up the flooring on their stand and show me it bending.

Henry :)

what did you buy
A hugely expensive lunch at that restaurant opposite the Princess stand. Pound for pound or should I say gram for gram, probably the smallest and most expensive fish fillet I've ever bought in an eating establishment

Otherwise, I was wowed by the Chris Craft 36 Launch which was half a million quid of gorgeousness. I want one. But my surprise of the show were the Cormate 27' and 24' boats which looked fab and the hulls looked like they could take a bit of a sea as well. Not a bad price either

You can't compare them and to do so would be unfair. Every industry has a "global" show and Düsseldorf is the marine sectors.

And whilst you have not done this , some folk forget Dussledorf has several Halls of tat as well !
That's said there is no better feeling than lunching outside in the centre of the show.

I found the show too big to get around everything - must be getting old.
The chief officer and I were selective and stuck mostly to a few boats I wanted to see plus a few thrown in. Arrived at 10am and it was quiet until the afternoon. Had to wait a few minutes to view one boat - a Princess 43 which I thought excellent. Also liked the V39 .

I like Sealines and thought the F380 mostly very good - accepting some sharp corners .

The crew wanted, and found, some new gloves . I bought a new mooring line with spliced eye at a reasonable price.

Had a pint of Guinness - expected to pay more then the local pub.
On the way out a coffee and bun were no more expensive than motorway service station prices . £1.95 for the coffee.
I thought the food out lets all looked high standard .

I have just got back from 10 days at the show. Without doubt the best show I have exhibited at in 4 years. The qualitity of visitior was very high. There seemed to be a new vigour with both new boaters and those wishing to upgrade. The fact I was the only Solent based power school had perhaps something to do with the success. Even taking bookings for courses up to the close! Now comes the follow up week.

Final release from the organisers quotes Sunseeker as taking £40m sales - pretty impressive...
And for the record, I'm a Londoner and I still find the Excel a rip-off for food. Paid £8.23 for a ginsters slice, prawn mayo sandwich and a coke...

Actually that's not a bad price for all that food. That's suggests a Londoner who does not buy lunch that often ;) a slice AND a sandwich ?
