We're planning a visit to Lelystad tomorrow and notice that there is a plethora of marinas. Any recommendations? Old fogeys, don't need night clubs and don't like a long walk. Hope to visit Batavia.

The one nr the Old wooden tub, then take your zimmer frame for a tour, we met the chap making its new sails 3 yrs ago, all hand stitched.
A must is the Zuiderzee museum in Enkhuisen, get there early & allow a day,food available inside

Go to the Shipwreck museum in Lelystadt.... we stopped at the marina near the lock and it was close by - as was an outlet shopping village !!

I can't remember its name but we have stopped happily at one north of the lock with a clubhouse that does decent food. I found the Batavia a bit soulless, though interesting in its way. We had better luck at the museum. I particularly liked the iron age boat with a tank for keeping fish fresh. With were taken into the back rooms by an old boy working there and saw the conservation work.

I take your point about Batavia marina. We are there now.
Efficient, but with all the charm of a municipal car park.
