I need a new kettle, the one that came with the boat does not whistle any more, is a pain to fill and pours terribly - So, my requirements are:

1. Pours well
2. Fills easily
3. (secondary need) Whistles reliably
4. Sufficient capacity for 3-4 mugs of brew.

Any recommendations?

I’ve got something amazingly similar to that. Now I’ll spend £300 on a mainsheet block without batting an eyelid, but I can assure you the kettle was a tenth of that, and not sure if you can tell them apart.,

If you have a cooker with a grill which vents between the hotplate, make sure that nothing is overhanging the vent when grilling, that's a good way of melting anything plastic.

True. But that wasn't the issue, the kettle was just brewing over a single burner.

In my sailing life I seem to have got through many Kettles. All were poor in one way or another. Until I found my current one.

My posh one is only £15 quid now, whistles loudly, pours well. I couldn't recommend it highly enough.

I see it's out of stock at amazon. Maybe here

IKEA is the best one I've found. Good loud whistle, cool handle. Cheap.
