Servicing a ST 16 I find the stripper ring quite stiff in the upper crown (wave spring system) what that mean, what can I do.Thanks

Strip it down, clean all parts in a tub of paraffin, lubricate (sparingly) and reassemble.

That is done as discribe in the user manual.Done the same job on the ST44 and had no problems
