Why o why do people buy Sports boats.Possibly useful in the Med but in the UK ..Pleazzzee.......even in the med the tent has got to be up to stop you spit roasting. Pay all that money for a boat with 50% missing. The things look mostly like a barge with a badly fitting marque nailed to the top.As to all those perishing 100yd zips guaranteed to jam/break should a light dew appear within 100 miles. While I am at it,whats with having to put your great plates of meat all over the blimming (always white)seating in order to go anywhere forward. And one more thing can we do 5 knots in the thing ...No chance ever.WOT.
C,mon you medallion men what are we missing./forums/images/icons/laugh.gif

I'm sure this is just a touch of jealousy! Fresh air and a bit of sun in the winter months - nothing finer. We use an elderly sports car in winter so we're used to wind chill - should be no probs in a sports boat with heating, G&Ts to hand and a bit of Val Doonican on the record player.......
Yours aye

Well thy're a bit more exciting than those caravans on water that you use. I mean come on, you push 3000 revs and do 8 knts and you think its fast. We push 3000 revs and we do 80 knots. Also your the milky white bod with sandals and socks cos the sun never gets to you couped up in some dog house, just about says it all really!!

Re: Re.Sorry sorry sorry

The joys of being young!

An 8 track was the predecessor of today's tape cassette - about the size of a good sandwich but not quite so useful. I had one back in the early 70s in a Jensen Interceptor - I didn't play much Val Doonican but Santana at full belt was thought to be cool at the time.....

Sadly I've (almost) grown up in the intervening 30 years.
