What are the euro berthing fees for Lefkas in Greece per metre per year? Is there somewhere close that offers better value?

Are there some issues I should know about when thinking about a permanent mooring for a second boat in Lefkas?

The area is busy with lots of yachting resources, many boatyards, quaysides and safe anchorages. Depending how long you're leaving the vessel, an option is to haul out and store ahore near Preveza.

Another very cheap option is to leave the boat in charge of CYS, Levkas, who use a safe quay area with moorings and look after the boat in your absence.

Very cheap options are available near Nidri; moor pulled onto the mud, with an anchor off and a line ashore either in Vliho bay or Tranquil bay, if necessary paying someone to run the engine from time to time to keep the batteries up and check the bilges (though you won't sink while on the mud!)

Your choice will depend largely how much convenience you want for boat access.

If it was Sivota, you'd need to find a mooring or a place where someone will tolerate you going alongside (good for importing a cat population). There's loads of traffic in and out of the quays there - great stuff for visitors lifting your anchor on departure.

Yes as I found out to my cost when someone fouled my stern anchor line and wrapped it round their prop . Also had a cat come aboard , dive down through the cabin , jump into the port bunk ,run over SWIMBO's face and out the cabin hatch /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Yes its Sivota, I have just had a couple of nights there. There are no harbour/mooring fees at the moment, but I was informed they are talking about a small charge for the future.
You can however leave a boat at the yacht bar pontoon (for a fee) cheap coffee/beers, very clean showers 2E and loos, To moor here is about 10/15 euros, water and leccy on pontoon.
Long term, I would agree, Lefkas town or Nidri area.

There is space to anchor in the middle though, and then use the tender.
We thought it was (next to Kalamos) the best place we visited last week.
