Leave boat anchored offshore

I use an app called “Anchor”. It allows you to set your anchor position with alarms on one device such as a tablet and link it to your phone. Means that your phone alarms if the anchor drags when you are ashore. Needs mobile coverage of course. I only use it in circumstances when I judge it is safe to leave the bot unattended for a few hours.

And as a point of info to the OP. We frequently anchor and leave our boat all day while we go exploring. It’s not illegal and it’s quite normal. Have some good gear and gain confidence in it.
(If it’s any consolation, I’ve met people who are afraid to sleep when they are anchored, let alone get off the boat!)
