Leak

Has any one experienced a speedometer hose cracking. Resulting in spraying water all over electrical connections, harnesses, also corroding wires and hookups?
This happened to me on a 2004 Rinker boat and I am looking at major repairs.
This all started when my alarm system kept randomly going off for no apparent reason over a period of 5 months.

Erm, shouldn't you have noticed a fairly major leak and sorted it especially if the alarm was going off???
