Keel to hull joint

Just wondering on the views of the forum on the following.
About to rake out some of the sealer from the rusty keel/hull joint, clean up the joint and reseal (only talking about the visible seam here so only really trying to make it look nice).
My question is, after cleaning up the metal should I apply sikaflex direct to the metal or paint on the primacon then apply the sealer?

Or perhaps use the appropriate Sika primers then the Sikaflex and paint.

But rather than expensive Sikaflex consider one recently recommended by Vyv Cox ... PU40, a polyurethane sealant, from Toolstation or a copolymer sealant such as CT1.

Or Tek7. Same as CT1 but cheaper , in bigger packs and available from your local builders merchant. Both of these work in damp conditions and even underwater. I bet you have to dry the joint 100% before getting good results with sickaflex. Almost impossible in a keel hull joint in Britain in winter

I've had very good results using Lifecalk polysulfide sealant, which is now available again in the UK. It sticks like **** to a blanket and was still both well attached and flexible on my last boat twenty years after I refitted the keel.

PabloPicasso,

I have searched Toolstation, Screwfix, B&Q, Wickes, Homebase, Travis Perkins and Jewson without success.

So where is Tek7 sealant available ?
