They didn't use anything as big in my days of trolling around the high seas............usually just a small trawler with lots of whips and antenna...................I guess there are bigger secrets around these days!!!

Apparently almost all of the North Atlantic fishing fleet were equipped with various bits of kit to some extent back in the day and certainly all ice breakers capable of roaming so far up North would have again to some extent or another be equipped with listening devices or such like and certainly would be called on to support subs working under ice flows.. And apparently everyone did the same, which was nice..
