I'd agree what's the fault codes and problem .Have you confirmed that it is defiantly the ecu? They do fail but it is very rare. What symptoms do you have?

I went to boat where he was told it was the ecu , I calibrated the levers and away it went .
Are boats .co.uk paying for it?

Id argue though that is the wrong ECU was fitted at point of sale, then the defect is latent and there at the time of delivery. In that case there is no limit on the warranty as you can prove to boat was defective at the point of sale (unless you have swapped the ECU out of course, which I doubt you have)
For a new boat, definitely yes - but for a secondhand boat?
