We fitted a domestic 240v fridge on our mobo, we flip to the 1500w inverter when underway or anchor. The house bank is 6 x 115 SLA batteries and the current draw is minimal over 24hrs for the fridge.

Nice ... but not really a viable solution for me ... its on my race boat and already we carry three 90 A/hr Lead Acids ... one for engine - two for domestics. I don't really want to add more ...

To our Lithium friends ... NO I will not change to Li ....

What I am considering - is increasing the solar panel on deck ... it looks like a 40W job

... maybe I can increase that and also have some panels to clip to rails when moored ....

I changed the Solar Controller from :

to one with a display to tell me what it was actually doing !!

It was spare on my bench - so gave it a try ... I realise its not the BEST .. but it tells more than what was there before - and User settable,
