JFM

I agree that JFM was a great asset. I also think that for some who have been on a particular forum for a long time it gets to a point where it has run its course and also some people feel that the forum brings them more upset than it does Joy........ If ever it gets to that point it is better to leave than be further ground down

“The way I see it, he said. You just can’t win it, everybody’s in it for their own gain...
Lately I wonder what I do it for. If I had my way I’d just walk through those doors and wander down the Champs Elysees...”

I guess many of us are old enough to know where this comes from and maybe JFM might recognise the thoughts of the original subject of these words.

Folk on here have tried, but there is an element that makes sensible and useful posting frustrating, hence people choose not to take the idiots on, but to drift away. This has little or nothing to do with moderators.

Roy will take umbrage at that but I whole heartedly agree :p

On the other hand it would be a shame to let a minority silence the majority. I find there is still a lot to be had in this forum and there are some great personalities and some true gentlemen. And sometimes even those that can be tiresome in their mantra are also gents and have their heart in the right place. We are missing some great personalities that showed the way, their absence is not a stoppage if you take up their baton.

Lots of things still make me laugh on here so I’ll stick about. Lacking trip reports this year, which are the best aspect of the forum IMHO, but global pandemic and all. What ya gonna do!

If they were in the wrong of course they should apologise - is that not just common courtesy?

I say If as I don’t have a clue who was in the wrong.

For those who know him please pass my best wishes to him and his family i found his posts very interesting, and helpful .Tell him stay safe and wish him a happy Christmas and a safe new year .
