Yes, he and the mods had a difference of opinion regarding a series of posts. The mods happened to side with an ex-Time Inc employee in favour of JFM so he has not chosen to participate further.

So, I think it's safe to put that down to his own decision to stop contributing, whatever the reasons - which I don't doubt he must have had.
Imho, the greatest loss of competence here in the asylum, since also LS1 couldn't be bothered anymore.

I hope I’m wrong, but I thought LS was not a well man and that was the main reason he stopped posting.
Both Latestarter and jfm are much missed here. Both happy to give their time and share their extensive knowledge and experience. Both have been of great help to a good number of posters here, both past and present.

The way the forum is managed at a technical and moderation level does it no favours.

What no one seems to recognise is that this is free content for YBW and far better at engaging its readers than the magazine.

Technically it is a mess with continual pop ups on an iPhone which when you post in the tech form someone jumps down your throat and tells you they are trying hard but it is the adverts. Funny it does no impact another other forum!

Moderation has rarely touched me but they did write and remove my Williams advert ( which I thought we were allowed in our signature) after I pasted yet again and the tech forum. They were seeking to punish the school boys in some form.

Many of us are in contact in other groups and YBW only have themselves to blame for their vanishing content.

I've never met JFM but he was an absolute asset to this online community and forum. I know he doesn't post anymore, a total shame.

I don't know exactly what went on, but it must have been something nasty for JFM to not continue posting, he always came across as quite polite and patient.
