J Class boats

I went to Ocean Village today and saw Shamrock and Endeavour, then along to Saxon Wharf just in time to see Velsheda having a scaffold built around her prior to an £11.9 million refit...... REFIT? She looks immaculate!

I remember as a youngster in the early sixties, seeing one of the J Class boats rotting on the Hamble..... can anyone tell me which that would have been - was it Endeavour?

velsheda was saved from the scrap yard, by a scrapyard owner in the 80s they used to bring her to jersey to antifoul her, on a 40ft tide. i towed her in and out once,never did get paid,,,,,,,,,the memorys,, and photos will always be remembed.....
