News update from Kwaka: (who was doing bumps & grinds around the 3 Peaks fleet)
The major caught a mackerel (I do not believe this, it is clearly made up) and then had to come back cos he was feeling sick. Now that I can believe, Caernarfon Bar is no place for gentlemen to be in S-SW 5/6 over the ebb, even when it's neaps it will be damned rough.

There was a minor irritation that made him realise that he still had a life to live after all . . .
I suspect he still sneaks in to watch now & then (but I haven't bothered to check) which is one reason why I posted this thread.
Plus, as Tom has spotted there were a couple of uncharacteristic events occured that suggest there may be a Doppelganger of the Major out there that is slightly mis-programmed!!
