It helps get the average up if you abandon your course when you are doing 11 knots and sail the opposite way at 22 knots whilst you go and make a cup of tea. If you do it twice that's really helpful. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

You are probably right at the moment. The trouble is that the weather changes and it is sometimes like chasing shadows. The system only has to move 100 miles North or South to have a significant effect on the boats in the leading pack.

At 6:15 am you are 9th fastest and I've dropped from 7th to 8th.

The trouble is that on my current heading I am going to miss Cape Town and disappear into the Indian Ocean. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
