It\'s not over yet

Local and national forecasts are suggesting that the fresh southerlies this morning will back south east and increase to F8 or 9 this afternoon. Squally showers with thunder this afternoon will be replaced with a period of heavy rain this evening.

HW today along the Cornish south coast approx. 0600 and 1815

Might I suggest you get hold of a copy of today's Western Morning News which has devoted 12 pages of reports and pictures of the havoc between Penzance and Lyme Regis. For example, at the height of it all last evening waves were breaking over the top of the Queen's Hotel in Penzance when the sea wall was breached. Wind speeds of 80mph recorded in West Cornwall.
