It's blackberry season.

Is it just me or are the blackberries particularly good and abundant this year?

It’s just you. All I have found is rotten little sour ones that don’t appear to have seen any rain for months.

We've got loads here around Framlingham, bumper haul this year. I have noticed that we don't seem to have nearly as many pickers as I recall as a child. The hedgerows sometimes had more families than birds in them, but are relatively empty nowadays.

Seriously, however, thi syears harvest is well down. My grave vine only has peanut sized fruit, not yhe jucy huge things from last year.
