How much does it cost to have a Writ 'Nailed to the mast' ? As the expression goes ! Is there a more formal term to use i.e Admirality Writ etc., Is there a website explaining the proceedure, cost etc ? Thanks in advance for all relevant replies. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

My mother never told me I had a brother! So who is this man passing himself off as me? Is he Lord Lucan in disguise, I ask myself. Married to Anastasia maybe? And is it my boat that he wants to post a writ on?

You may have seen the news about the ferry out of Heysham that has been seized by its crew

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/6381781.stm

They are apparently waiting for a character called the Admiralty Marshal coming to "arrest" the ship

Not sure what this actually consists of - I have a sort of picture in my mind of John Wayne in a sailor suit with a six gun on his hip.

Probably an aging civil servant in a suit with a shiny trouser seat.

Maybe with a hammer and nails for writ attachments.
