Is this right, 15hp backup?

JJ7893;2572650 The last one was a very small one and my dad has already seen it in action and it something he don't want a repeat of. Many thanks JJ[/QUOTE said:
Hey -- first off
I just noticed I 'owe' you a PM answer!
So here is a Public PM!
Well done on the purchase, the Boat will be fine on the Menai!:D

Second off
Let's hope the main eng is ok
I can help with that anyway
15 hp is a big heavy lump
OK, you can tweek a smaller one
But it's the Strait Mate!

Yer boat is a crackin hull
When built, they 'Built em' layup of GF was a lot heavier/ thicker then.
No probs with that.

Third off
Cookin ternight
Steak needs turnin
Just fixed a blokes outboard
He is a Butcher
Yer wanna see the Steaks;)
Back in a bit!
K

Yep, just like cooking
Preparation takes ages with boats!
Scoffing takes just a Minute or Three!
Prep the boat an engigine (the main one) and all will be safe.
And Tastey!
All you need to make a safe Haven in the Strait is a 5 horse Max!
You will not punch the tides if it goes pear shaped (food again)!
No matter where you are if the tide is running
So you get to a mooring or a beach or shore side.
The strongest currents are the Swellies and about North of Menai Bridge.

OoPS
Pushed the wrong key!
Red wine with the Steak kickin in!

Anyway
Plus Puffin Sound will 'rip' on certain tides
Caernarfon bar is the deadliest place
But you won't be there when it's the 'wrong time' will you?

In short.
Just a little 'put put' will do
Clamped on the transom
As a 'just incase' to get you to shore etc etc.

JJ, when are near to launching or about to launch
Gis a shout
Sort the Strait out for yer!
