Does it meet the engine manufacturer's recommendations?
Beta require a minimum of CF.

I'm given to understand from previous discussions on here that too high a grade can be detrimental for older engines that run cooler.
That's possibly got some truth in it, but it doesn't in my opinion, justify using an oil that doesn't claim to meet the minimum recommended by the engine maker.

It may be that this oil would meet CF spec or whatever, but simply hasn't been tested, because it's intended for the euro market who don't care for US specs, but who knows? Why does it claim a good API S-rating but no C rating ?
Maybe it's the kind of 'good modern oil' which isn't ideal for clunky low tech diesels?
But really, it's the cheap end of the GTX range.

It's not hard to get oil that meets what the engine makers require.
