The first two submarines I served on were fitted with, but no longer used, Rum Tanks dating back to the days of the tot.

I read about a boat which had a rum tank fitted inside the below-deck section of the keel-stepped mast, with a filler cap up near the deckhead and a brass tap protruding from the mast just above where it passed through the saloon table.

I‘m not certain, but I believe it was the same yacht that had a teak toilet-seat built into the bow pulpit. Certainly in fine weather it would be more pleasant than working a pump in a small compartment below decks - for the singlehanded or uninhibited, at least

There was a yacht in the Zululand boat yard that has a jabsco head mounted in the cockpit without the bae so the contents wend direct down into the sea (no seacock) and the hand pump just pumped sea water into the bowel then directly out with any pumping

I believe people pay good money for colonic irrigation, e.g. Rob & Romesh on Sky1 (which I am happy I do not have!)

Plenty of those when I visited Japan last year - even the toilet in the scruffy rusty heads compartment on a small ferry had a spray unit retro-fitted on top of the porcelain.

Glad to say that none of them pumped water actually “into the bowel”, though

Did they also analysis your pee ?

When I was in Singapour many years ago th public loos were all the squat type. SWMBO was very "pleased" !!!

Ah, take care. My late mother had a colonoscopy and as a side effect had to get a new carpet (on insurance)... My two were OK, though.
