Just didd a sh trip round england & met a surprising amount of sh people in boats less than 25 ft
Because they are bilge keel or shallower draft they get in shallow harbours so can do shorter legs. They have to work the tides & wether but i think that in the end it makes them better sailors.
They have saIls they can handle physically & although they are not as fast as my 31 ft boat i suspect some of them were making a better job of the trip than me. They end up seeing more interesting places
So if you intend to do any cruising you might not know it but you have a boat that can be just as rewarding as a bigger one
