Internet coverage in northern Greece

We had a Wind connection when we were up there last year. It was fine around Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonnisos. If you have a mifi and can hoist it up the mast that always improves the signal.

However, I think Cosmote is generally much better in almost all areas.

Which internet provider have any of you found works best in the Northern Aegean, in particular around Evia and Northern & Eastern Sporades?

I used Vodafone the last couple of years - no problems except no signal @ Kyria Panagia and GPRS only in Sigri, Lesbos.
Usually Cosmote have the most extensive coverage but are a pain to deal with.

There have been very few places throughout the Aegean where Vodafone did not provide us with some sort of signal. Even in the remotest anchorages of small islands we have been able to remain in touch with internet.

We had Voda with data and yes it worked in most places but absolutely rubbish on Skype. Changed to Cosmote last year, coverage maybe slightly better and Skype is no problem now.

I agree there are probably speed issues. I don't use Skype but find that videos rarely run and Photobucket misbehaves. For emails and forums Vodafone seems to be fine.
