This is good too, along the same lines:

Any such visualization tends to lose the 3-dimensional nature of the oceanic circulation. They've tried here, by using light colours for surface colours and dark ones for deep currents. but that tends to emphasize the surface currents over the deep ones. It's a very difficult problem, though!
