My "many weekends" is aspirational having moved to Devon, joined the Sailing Club and signed on for racing a Dayboat Wednesdays & weekends (tide/wife dependent) + 1 week in the Ionian bareboat with Sail Ionian.

I have 6 weeks vacation that I take in 2 2week and 2 1week blocks which are spent on my boat. There isn't really a category for me to tick so I went for 1 moth plus other considerations.

I will probably be expelled for having sold my boat last week, but since Lockdown and my wife’s illnesses it would have been day sails plus the occasional weekend with family members. For most of the first quarter-century it would have been three months going foreign and short trips either side within the season.
I wish you and particularly your wife well. Hope you both get back on the water together soon.

I decided that ones accumulated knowledge should still be relevant, unless someone invents a replacement for GPS or provides the perfect anchor free. As far as I'm concerned - feel free to post. As your knowledge becomes less relevant you will sense when to retire from YBW.

Are non raggy boaters excluded from this poll?
Not at all. They're perfectly able to tell us how much sailing they do.

Suspect if you actually wanted to examine usage habits, splitting between sail and power would result in more usable data though.

It always amused me to read that the QE 2 (say) was due to ‘sail’ from Southampton though in the context of this thread it seems that the word is meant in its usual sense.

Does swinging at anchor count as sailing, and if so, which category should I put myself in?
Well if you essentially live aboard but don't move all that much, then I suggest

I live on a boat but if I'm honest I don't actually sail it that much

Might be applicable. But I'm in no way claiming a perfect scientific poll. I spent all of 2 minutes thinking up categories, if none of them fit you then feel free to either not answer or to draw attention to a usage pattern that I hadn't thought of.

I don't live aboard, as such, except when I'm cruising. I use my boat around 300 days per year - meaning it leaves the marina - but I don't sail.

FWIW, I have fallen into the habit of totting up boat use at the end of each season.

Under my regime nights aboard on the home mooring/marina count nothing unless you actually sail.
At anchor (or marina) away from base I consider on passage and even a week not moving counts as seven days.

Over this winter I have spent about 30 days aboard going nowhere so = zero boat use under my rigid scheme.

I think swinging would be a very different forum whether at anchor or not 😜
It is. I'm not getting many offers since the mods insisted on me updating my profile picture, which I'd been using since I joined. With a name like yours you shouldn't be short of inquiries. I can sponsor you if you wish.
