Happy to oblige, Hull # 39 built in 1964 and not succumbed to polyestermites!

My Fulmar was built in 1980 and in a couple of months she will be 46. Just had new standing rigging and furler. She is ready for another 46 + years.

Constructed 1988, launched 1989, so either 37 or 38 depending in whether you take date of conception or date of birth.

This of the first yacht I've had that is younger than I am.

I was wondering too. Hopefully the proportion of newer boats is bigger than it seems so far.

Mine is now 18 years old, launched in 2008 .... so we do have a few built this century .... I bought it in 2024 after initially looking for an ex-charter AWB around 10 years old.

Mine was launched in 1999, so will be 27 by the end of the season.

Laser 120xxx so 1985. Long before ILCA was invented!

First mate and I, having retired from coastal cruising have recently purchased a 57 foot steel canal narrowboat.

Built by a well thought of constructor, Steve Hudson, in 2006, it is a traditional layout with a separate engine room.

I was a bit put off by the 'pretend' rivets, the first owner ordered them as one of the options, but the rest is lovely.

Interior is oak and mahogany, very well put together and still in excellent condition.

We sleep in the Boatmans Cabin, in the 'cupboard' bed. It stores in a cupboard, the downward opening door makes some of the base, a seat back completes the mattress. Very comfortable so far.
