I don't know why but I find all ferries exciting, from cross-Channel ones to the lower ferry at Dartmouth. Even watching them I enjoy. The prize for the most entertaining must go to the one at Durgerdam near Amsterdam. OK it only goes a few yards, but you operate it yourself, once you've worked out how to do it.
