Renewal in a few weeks, I have been with Coleman in Poole for approx 12 years and have a couple of boats with them. Never had any complaints and they have been very good - never needed to claim. (touch woood).

Only reason to change would be to save a few £

Anyone recomend anyone else?

GJW do discounts for MDL

Debbie on 0151 473 8023.
I did have some small query on the policy, and they said, Oh, OK, we will take that bit out then !

I have stuck with the same insurance broker (Bishop Skinner/Bluefin) for many years because they gave me very good service some years ago when I had a claim. I do always get a couple of other quotes just to check their premiums and keep them honest. I always think with insurance that building a relationship with a good broker is more valuable than saving a few bob because you will need their help if/when you have a claim

Every insurance company is great if you never claim. Only if you claim you can judge if they are good or not.

I have with Haven Knox Johnston and they were very good. I am not connected with them in any way and have used them for many years, with two claims. One when someones boat broke it's mooring and damaged ours and this year during storms, when the canvas hood got shredded. Both issues handled to my satisfaction.

I have had policys with both Mardon and GJW for last 15 years and both have been good on service and price, I like to stick with a company as long as the price difference isnt too far out.

Saga have been very excellent with us, a £23k claim after a sinking doo at Salcombe a few years ago now, they were honest and sorted it.

How do you know there any good if you have never had a claim, you mean they are very good @ taking your money every year!,another vote for GJW we had a claim whilst in Cherbuorg some years ago ,they have a surveyor 24/7 & our claim was paid in full, regards mm1.

Agree it's worth a look around but cheap is not always best, I'm with craft insure but last week had a £350 cheaper quote with HKJ, so looking around. Gjgm what was the bit you wanted out?
