Marine and general are doing Instructor and delivery skipper liability Insurance Again.
There has been a period of about a year where there has been no cover available from anyone anywhere.
Except by RYA for teaching RYA courses at reconised teaching establishments

But the owners policy insurance company must be informed if a skipper is to be used for the delivery and they must be covered under said policy. I understand this is to include both Hull and Liability insurance.
A formal agreement in writing supplied by insurance company to be completed
as well.
There is also now a list of minimum requirements the owner must supply or pay to hire for the delivery.

There are good points and bad but gone are the days when you can jump the boat and pop it down the coast for someone with just a bag of saftey equipment.
