Inland waterways helmsman course.

How lovely!

Get the kids to give the old girl a good scrub up eh? I'll let them watch my ipod TV if they do a good job!!

Not actually 'next to me' I hope....I'll have to get more fenders for a few weeks, or teach you how to berth!! :p

LOL.. Have to wait and see... :D

I am going to the marina tomorrow to hopefully choose an available berth as everyone should have confirmed if they are staying or going by then..:)

Our boat has required another clean due to duck poop being walked in..

Hello :). I will shout next time. Lol.

Ian is doing the VHF course in a couple of weeks at bisham. I plan to do it soon and I think perhaps we will start looking at other courses later.

Will you both be at the club maintenance weekend? If so see you both there. :)

Oh, gawd, somebody else asking for radio checks on CH16, then.....

Mooring sorted out today... We move in on Friday or Saturday... :D

Have had offers of help learning to do things the right way and will look at helmsman course in due time. Have had one recommendation that looks ideal.
:)

...on second thought, I might wait to see where CRASHMOMMY is actually moored and nick a few fenders off Boatone's old jalopy :o

As a keen kayaker, I'd say that a helmsmans course should be mandatory before anyone uses a boat on the Thames. There have been a few occasions where the helmsman on a few encounters has been truely shocking.

Usual story, minority spoils it for the majority......
