Im am considering fitting in boomfurling to my moody 376. I am however reluctant to go ahead with anything until i have spoken to someone else who has it fitted or anyone with any first hand experience using the system.Thanks.

Most new superyachts appear to be using this system as it reduces weight up the mast of the in-mast system, but does give you a heavier and larger boom.

I had in boom furling on my Moody 346 it was 'Sailtainer' now no longer made i understand. whilst it was quite convienient the sail did not set terribly well when reefed, the leech was quite loose when deeply reefed and it took quite an effort to get enough tension to depower the sail (we were in 45knots of wind at the time) it was not really a problem until it blew, the latest systems might be better, but I will not be buying one.

Hello,
I have a Sailtainer on my Nicholson 38 which is working quite well.
Only challenge was making sure the boom angle was correct to ensure proper furling, if boom set lower main furling tended to ride to from and jammed, keeping boom at correct angle avoids this problem.
This means I do not adjust my boom lift once set.
Good luck.
