on my neighbours anchor !!! Damn it !!going back to my berth after a successful trial last week, the weather had started to pick up, so we went in early, i was manouvering the boat astern trying to get into my berth, which is tucked up in a corner and a bit dodgy to get to especially as i have not had much practice at berthing, there is little or no tide to worry about, just the wind, so i took into account wind direction and thought to myself if i just nudge my way in the wind will do the rest ! ha ! simple !! DOH! the wind done its job alright and promptly swung me broadside, before i could do anything!! i just had to stand there, as there was no room to manouvre and watch, as the boat proceeded to impail itself on the bow anchor of the rinker 24 next to me Crunch!! and a galley full of broken glass, well it did make berthing a lot simpler!! as all i had to do was step onto the rinker take my lines ashore extracate anchor from galley window swing the bow round and Voila!! safely at my mooring !!
SWMBO WAS NOT impressed !!!
But best of all, no-one saw it happen !!!!
